Composer

John Harle is the composer of over 100 film and TV scores and 50 concert works, and has won an Ivor Novello award and two Royal Television Society awards for Best Music. His music for BBC’s Silent Witness has remained the theme of the show for over 20 years. Recent work includes feature films on artists such as David Hockney and Lucian Freud with director Randall Wright, five films about The Queen for BBC1. and films in China and South East Asia. 
He is the composer of two operas (Angel Magick and The Ballad of Jamie Allan), and the progressive rock drama The Tyburn Tree, with Soft Cell singer Marc Almond. 

His music ranges from EDM and pop to contemporary classical, and he is currently composing Mr Punch, a music theatre work with writer/director Patrick Marber, a saxophone concerto for Jess Gillam and the BBC Concert Orchestra, (RANT!) and a retro-jazz album for BMG (Hanky Panky.)
