John Harle and the Berliner Band
This was Harle’s group from 1981 onwards, preceding The John Harle Band, focusing on political music, and the music of Kurt Weill and Hanns Eisler. It includes John’s 1986 recreations of Weimar classics from the 1920’s with Baby in der Bar by Wilhelm Grosz, and Max Brand’s Machinist Hopkins featuring Harle and his Berliner Band.
